Gulfport, Miss - Manuel Gonzalez-Rodriguez, 39, of Mexico, was sentenced today to 13 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for being an illegal alien in possession of a firearm, announced U. S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis and Raymond R. Parmer Jr., Special Agent in Charge of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in New Orleans.
Chief U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola, Jr. ordered that Gonzalez-Rodriguez be turned over to HSI officials on completion of his prison term.

This case was investigated by ICE HSI following a traffic stop January 6, 2012, by the Biloxi Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Annette Williams.
